The Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival, by the Home for Cooperation, is the only Fringe Festival in Cyprus. Since 2014 and its first edition, the Festival has evolved from a small, locally rooted event in the buffer zone to an internationally recognized festival, using performing arts to nurture intercommunal dialogue, co-creation, and positive conflict transformation. Buffer Fringe highlights the powerful role of arts and culture in challenging preconceived divisive narratives while encouraging positive social transformation. This edition returns to the roots of what makes Buffer Fringe the Festival that it is: a space for those who ‘dare to challenge’.
