Regarding Buffer Fringe 2025
To the artists, audiences, and cultural communities who shape Buffer Fringe,
Each year around this time, the Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival would be preparing to announce its next lineup of performances. This year, on World Fringe Day, we share something different — not a cancellation, but a conscious pause.
Buffer Fringe will not take place in 2025.
Following its landmark 10th edition in 2023, the festival embraced a biennial format — a move that reflects both intention and ambition. This rhythm allows more time to listen, imagine, and co-create a festival that better serves the evolving artistic landscape of Cyprus and beyond.
We’ve chosen to extend this pause through 2025 — not out of retreat, but to make space. Space for deeper collaborations, new artistic encounters, and programming that resonates across borders and communities. Like many across the arts, we face real challenges — but we also share a fierce resilience, and a commitment to continue creating, connecting, and transforming.
Buffer Fringe has never been just a festival — it is a space held by many. Artists, audiences, and cultural practitioners from across Cyprus and the world have shaped it into a platform for expression, experimentation, and dialogue. The Home for Cooperation remains proud to support this collective vision and to continue building it together.
In the coming weeks, we’ll share a roadmap for Buffer Fringe 2026–2027 — including upcoming activities, new formats, and ways to stay engaged.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to what we’ll create together next.
“Together we are many. Together, we are Fringe.”
